» A Saint Paul for All

Politicians and bureaucrats always tell you that their grand plans are good for the little guy, but in my experience that’s just not true. Big projects, big subsidies, and big government benefit big organizations and big businesses who make profits from big government—and you and I pay the taxes to pay for it. I don’t dislike government—but I think it needs to work for us all. And my experience tells me that isn’t happening.

My vision is simple: we need a Mayor who works for the rest of us. Who keeps the streets paved, the neighborhoods safe, and the economic environment vital.

When I am elected Mayor, I won’t measure my success by the number of big projects I get built. Instead I will look to the small successes our real quality of life depends upon—high quality schools, safer streets, new businesses starting up, and the number of new city residents I will be able to meet with and listen to on a daily bases.

Running a city shouldn’t be an ego trip. It is a public service.

My office door will always be open–I repeat ALWAYS be open!

I LOVE SAINT PAUL!

Quality of Life

Quality of life starts with good education and jobs.  Good paying jobs have been leaving St. Paul for too long.  Our focus needs to be restoring educations and business so there can be opportunity for ALL.

Infrastructure

There is no question that we need improvements to our infrastructure,  But for too long city hall has given little regard to those effected, city hall needs to start listening to the needs of the people they serve.

Maximum Value

As more businesses leave downtown St. Paul, and more buildings are taken over by government agencies our tax base has been reduced.  We need to restore downtown and insure that we spend our tax dollars  wisely.
